The Role
This Director level position in the Global Security Services organization will be tasked with continuing to build upon a newly launched Cyber Fusions Center program. The position will have four main responsibilities:
1) This position will be in a leadership role over a large 24x7x365 Security Operations Center environment that is primarily a virtual workforce. This position requires a strong leader to continue maturing the program. At a high level, the Cyber Fusion Center is responsible for incident response, operation, maintenance, and monitoring of the Lumen enterprise security capabilities. The personnel range from tier I triage, tier II engineers, Tier III Sr. and lead engineers. This team performs security event management functions - monitoring, detection, triage of security events and alerts in Security Information Event Monitor (SIEM) and associated monitoring systems. The role also facilitates the ingress, implementation and egress of advanced internal trouble / change requests for next generation firewall, and other security control frameworks
2) The position will also be responsible for establishing holistic Cyber Fusion Center a.k.a. Security Operations Center (SOC) technical processes, across all security disciplines. This includes developing a training and certification framework scale the digital transformation DevSecOps mindset and skillset.
3) This position will be responsible for operational requirements gathering, and execution of new internal security tools requirements in the enterprise space. As an example, incident response.
Build and run a world-class security incident response program.
Define and implement the strategy for security incident response and drive effective program execution.
Develop the security incident response framework, including related standards and processes, and ensure effective implementation.
Drive requirements for security monitoring and analytics capabilities and continuously assess the effectiveness of existing technologies.
Oversee incident management, drive response activities, coordinate efforts across the organization, and ensure effective incident communications.
Partner with other teams to deliver security incident response capabilities across the organization.
Deliver incident findings to stakeholders and provide comprehensive incident reporting and metrics to the organization.
Ensure threat intelligence capabilities and information sharing are effectively implemented and delivering value to the business.
Ensure compliance requirements are met through effective security monitoring and response control implementation
The Main Responsibilities

Security platforms: Crowdstrike, Palo Alto, XSOAR, Proofpoint, Extrahop, Splunk, Symantec, RADIUS, as well as the Microsoft suite of security controls.
Other Responsibilities:
Hiring, training, performance management and career development of Cyber Fusion Center members
Identify, develop and implement / delegate assigned projects per specified scope of work
Leadership of Manager and Sr. Manager level personnel
Identification and resolution of complex issues in Lumen environments
Continually realign / evaluate services with changing business and product needs
Actively contribute to the successful advancement of the enlarged security operational organization
Identify, build and maintain solid working relationships including collaborative activities with colleagues, peers, clients and vendors
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Compensation
The starting salary for this role differs based on the employee's primary work location. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual's qualifications.
Location Based Pay Ranges
$128,310 - $171,080 in these states: AR, ID, KY, LA, ME, MS, NE, SC, and SD.
$135,060 - $180,080 in these states: AZ, AL, FL, GA, IN, IA, KS, MO, MT, NM, ND, OH, OK, PA, TN, UT, VT, WV, WI, and WY.
$141,820 - $189,090 in these states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NV, NH, NC, OR, and RI.
$148,570 - $198,090 in these states: AK, CA, CT, DE, DC, IL, MD, MA, NJ, NY, TX, VA, and WA.
As with the pay range variety that's based on the region of a country, specific offers are determined by various factors such as experience, education, skills, certifications and other business needs.
