Northrop Grumman is seeking Quality Engineers to join the Aeronautics Systems Sector Intern Program. This position could be located in: San Diego, CA, Los Angeles, CA, Palmdale, CA, Clearfield, UT, Oklahoma City, OK, Iuka, MS, St. Augustine, FL, Melbourne, FL
The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman's Mission Assurance and Programs Team and will work in a dynamic people-focused environment where he/she will interact with users, customers and other developers.
As an intern, you'll participate in a summer internship program to develop competencies in a variety of quality engineering specializations that may include:
Performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, or optical areas.
Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems.
Works from engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions.
Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format.
Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepares prescribed compounds and solutions.
Basic Qualifications
A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:
Be enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university AND graduating after August 2023.
Be majoring in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degree.
Be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2025.
Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite).
Preferred Qualifications
Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.25/4.0 or higher.
Previous internship/co-op experience, leadership & teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular)
Intern Pay Range:
Undergraduate degrees (Including graduating students planning on attending/enrolled in a full-time Master's program): $16.50 to $37.25 per hour
Master's: $24.00 to $46.25 per hour
At Northrop Grumman, our internship pay rates and standardized and take into account three main factors: the anticipated graduation date of the individual, the cost of labor of the geographic location, and whether the internship is considered technical or administrative.

Salary Range: $17 - $46
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
