Job Description:
Parsons is hiring a Cost Manager to support our growing manufacturing/industrial client base. In this position you will be responsible for leading the local Project Control Cost team as part of the PMO and providing direction and leadership for each phase of the project scope to assure on cost task completion within or below budget, with excellent quality and in accordance with contractual obligations. The Cost Manager must have project, contract negotiations, various project delivery methods (EPCm, EPC, E/P/Cm) and construction management experience on a project that are ranges from $500M to >$1 Billion in Total Installed Cost.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Provide guidance and direction to resolve complex project control issues.
- Interface with clients and provide regular updates and statistical reports on project progress.
- Develop and manage the work breakdown structure, coordinating with various departments.
- Analyze, evaluate, and forecast project schedules and costs, ensuring alignment with established baselines.
- Coordinate staffing needs, supervise project activities, and provide training to project teams.
- Lead performance reviews and support the professional development of assigned employees.
- Collect and analyze historical data to ensure accurate future planning and forecasting.
- Assess the impact of design changes and schedule delays, providing solutions as needed.
- Maintain systems to track and report on project schedules, keeping management fully informed.
- Customize project control systems to meet the unique needs of the project.
- Perform additional responsibilities to support project success.
- Support business development efforts, contributing to proposals and client presentations.
- Perform other duties as required to meet project and client objectives.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 12+ years of experience (15+ highly preferred) in project controls, including cost, scheduling, and change management.
- Strong engineering knowledge in electrical, mechanical, civil, or related fields.
- Proficiency with Project Controls software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proven leadership skills and the ability to manage complex projects.
- Familiarity with industry practices and project management methodologies.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
- Previous experience in semiconductor manufacturing, data centers, wastewater treatment plants, or process plants.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to forecast and assess project performance.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
- Experience customizing project control systems to meet specific project needs.

Salary Range:
