Summary About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the US Army Special Operations Command DCS, G-2 Sensitive Activities Cell, Fort Liberty, North Carolina. Responsibilities Serve as a Foreign Disclosure Security Specialist responsible for authoritative information and service for the Foreign Disclosure (FD) Program as it applies to the assigned organization and its subordinate activities. Coordinate with staffs and higher headquarters to determine disclosure requirements for releasing coalition mission information. Determine the Original Classification Authority (OCA) of the information for disclosure and coordinates actions to obtain disclosure approval. Provide security support for one or more security programs (e.g. Personnel Security (PERSEC), Information Security (INFOSEC), Industrial Security (INDUSEC), or their associated training requirements defined by the AR 380-series regulations. Serve as the technical expert for the development, maintenance, and instruction of the Foreign Disclosure Management System (FDMS) and the Security Policy Automation Network (SPAN). Interpret higher-level guidance and promulgates implementing directives and guidance to the G-22 Security Office. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS-09). OR A Ph.D or equivalent Degree that is closely related to the position. Closely Related constitutes a degree which has educated the student in pertinent, specific position-related subject matter allowing the student to develop knowledge and abilities directly applicable to the position being filled such as National Security Studies, Political Science, International Relations/Foreign Affairs, Geography, Security Management/Administrations, Criminal Justice, Psychology, History, or Law. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Specialized experience is progressively responsible intelligence-related security work directly related to the position being filled.
