Position Overview:
We are seeking a qualified Cybersecurity/IA COMPUSEC Support Specialist to provide expert support to HQ CCC Government personnel in IT and Cybersecurity/Information Assurance (IA) Computer Security (COMPUSEC). This role involves interpreting and implementing DoD/AF policies, providing guidance and training, and assisting with policy updates and compliance to ensure network and system security.
Key Responsibilities:Policy and Guidance Support:
Respond to requests for support and information regarding Cybersecurity/IA COMPUSEC implementation and policies.
Utilize phone, video conferencing, collaborative tools (Teams, Zoom, etc.), webinars, and electronic correspondence to provide guidance, citing published references as applicable.
Brief and communicate with Government representatives of various ranks, preparing correspondence and briefing materials.
Keep Government Points of Contact informed of issues, problems, and incidents related to Cybersecurity/IA COMPUSEC.
Policy Development and Updates:
Provide insights on current and historical perspectives of AF Cybersecurity/IA COMPUSEC policies.
Assist with reviewing and recommending changes to Air Force policies and publications to address technological advancements and mitigate risks.
Support incorporation of resolutions, lessons learned, and official policy interpretations into policy updates and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Collaborate on updates to Air Force Qualification Training Packages (AFQTP) and Information System Security Manager (ISSM) course curriculums.
Field-Level Support and Training:
Assist with COMPUSEC Management Internal Checklist Toolset (MICT) self-assessment reviews.
Validate assessment data, document deficiencies, and recommend corrective actions.
Provide guidance on implementing Cybersecurity/IA COMPUSEC policies to resolve deficiencies.
Conduct training sessions on Cybersecurity/IA COMPUSEC policies for Government and field-level personnel using various communication tools and formats.
Qualifications:
Secret Clearance
Certification: Minimum DoDI 8570.01M/8140 IAM Level 1 certification required.
Strong knowledge of National, DoD, and Air Force directives, instructions, manuals, and standards related to Cybersecurity/IA COMPUSEC.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with Government personnel across all levels.
Proficient in collaborative tools (e.g., Teams, Zoom, SharePoint), electronic correspondence, and webinar facilitation.
Experience with reviewing and interpreting inspection findings, documenting deficiencies, and recommending policy updates.
Familiarity with the development and revision of training materials and course curriculums.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with AF Cybersecurity/IA COMPUSEC policies and procedures.
Expertise in resolving compliance issues related to network security and operating systems.
Previous experience conducting technical training for Government personnel.
