We are hiring an Okuma 5-Axis CNC Mill/Turn Operator at our facility in Barberton, Ohio. The individual selected for this role will set up and operate tools and equipment to perform all types of machining operations such as turning, boring, facing, grooving, threading, drilling, reaming, tapping, contouring, milling, and thread milling on medium-to-large components requiring a high level of precision.
Responsibilities
Set up and operate an Okuma high-speed CNC Mill/Turn work center that has 5-Axis capability and all types of auxiliary computer-related equipment.
Works with programmer to develop and/or test run programs. Proof reads programs and notifies supervisor/programmer of potential problems.
Performs final inspection of features using both the inspection probe and/or precision measuring equipment. Cleans and deburrs job as necessary. Removes and attaches seals and protective covers as required.
Performs minor maintenance on machine, attachments, and tooling as required. Monitors and maintains proper coolant levels and coolant concentrations in machine and maintains proper machine oil levels as needed.
Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED equivalency
A minimum of two (2) years' experience operating a multi-axis Mill/Turn machining center is desired.
Must be able to recognize potential problems as the program is running and compensate to avoid collisions through the use of the block-by-block mode and feed and speed override feature.
Must be able to edit or modify programs as necessary. Must be able to write minor programs.
Must have a working knowledge of feeds and speeds for all types of material.
Must have working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
Must be able to work to 0.000" tolerances and to a microfinish 16.
Must pass all required pre-employment assessments, drug screen, and physical examination.
Must be able to maintain detailed work records, process documentation, and other production records.
