Business Intelligence Analyst, Emerging Talent The Emerging Talent Programs at Heritage Environmental Services are designed to train and develop high potential candidates and provide opportunities to accelerate your career growth and gain direct, hands-on experience. Working alongside managers and leaders, exposure to high level projects, and individualized mentorship provides a unique experience for all participates.
The Business Intelligence Program is a two-year program that focuses on delivering high-impact efficiency and growth projects in operations, sales, and functional departments defined by our Full Potential Plan (FPP). You will be part of a newly formed 'inhouse consulting' team and will work alongside experienced project managers and subject matter experts. You will provide critical data analysis and quantitative insights to facilitate decision-making, project design, and quantification of project impact. You will also help facilitate workshops, write project reports, and create management presentations.
Essential Functions & Requirements - Talent Programs:
Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and maintaining safe practices at all times
Develops an understanding of how the company works and builds relationships with Emerging Talent Program representatives through regularly scheduled meetings, annual training workshops, and mentor programs
Networks with professionals from various disciplines across the organization to enhance teamwork, collaboration, communication, problem solving, and strategic thinking skills
Maintains awareness of all Company policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure compliance
Takes on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization
Essential Functions & Requirements - Business Intelligence:
Gathers and analyzes financial, operational, and market data and develops insights in support of efficiency and growth projects
Supports the development of project charters and project plans and tracks progress against milestones and KPI targets
Works closely with IT teams and data owners to develop one-off analyses as well as business intelligence reports and dashboards to be used by project teams and management
Prepares meeting agendas, presentations, and follow-up reports and supports workshop facilitation
Works with the Transformation Office to keep initiatives aligned with strategic priorities
Education:
Bachelor's degree in data analytics, business, or related field (required)
Minimum 3.0 GPA (required)
High-performing recent graduate or expectation to graduate by start date -OR- qualifying education must have been obtained within the past 2 years of the start date
Experience:
Prior relevant internship, co-op, or practical experience (required)
Demonstrated leadership ability and initiative - such as school club officer, sports team captain, resident advisor, etc. or exceptional leadership on work projects (required)
Competencies:
Strong teamwork, networking, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization
Creative problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Organizational and time management skills
