Job Summary:
The Artificial Intelligence Analyst will play a crucial role in leveraging advanced data science to assist in engineering AI solutions across the Upstate Academic Medical Center. This position involves collaborating with multiple teams to review external AI solutions; developing in-house tools; and implementing, optimizing and closely monitoring the product's life cycle. This role will work closely with IMT's AI Governance Lead to ensure implementation in a manner that aligns with Upstate's mission, vision and values and all relevant laws and regulations.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, engaging with teams throughout Upstate to evaluate and implement AI and automation solutions; leading the development of in house AI and machine learning; identifying trustworthy AI and automation solutions to recommend best practices in process improvement; keeping abreast of emerging regulatory guidelines to ensure compliance and address potential gaps; working closely with leadership to ensure project objective are in alignment with organizational goals; creating and maintaining documentation toward explainable AI (XAI) to develop models in a way that are transparent, interpretable, and understandable for individuals who may interact with the systems; delivering projects while working with multiple and diverse teams; maintaining data definitions; adhering to data quality rules and data lineage; and maintaining a data dictionary.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree, preferably in a technical field or data-driven area of study and three years of relevant data science related field required.
**Candidates who possess at least a Bachelor's degree in a computer related field may be considered for appointment to a lower level position at a commensurate salary.
Strong background in machine learning, natural language processing, and data analysis.
Excellent communication skills to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with healthcare data (clinical, claims, etc.) is highly desirable.
Experience in analytical and problem-solving and exposure to large volume data systems is preferred.
Work Days:
Monday-Friday. 8pm-4:30pm.
