Salary Range: $150,000 - $175,000
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our executive team and oversee all financial aspects of the agency. The CFO will drive fiscal strategy, manage contract negotiations and execution, and safeguard our overall financial health. The ideal candidate will demonstrate outstanding leadership capabilities, financial and business acumen, strategic financial vision aligned with our organizational objectives, and a passion for our mission of improving the lives of youth.
Responsibilities :
Strategic Financial Leadership:
Develop and execute financial strategies that align with the organization's goals and objectives.
Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and executive team based on financial analysis and projections .
Financial Planning and Analysis:
Oversee the budgeting process, financial forecasting, and analysis of financial performance.
Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to the executive team and board of directors.
Risk Management:
Identify and mitigate financial risks to the organization.
Implement robust internal controls and ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards.
Operational Efficiency:
Optimize the organization's financial operations, including accounting, payroll, and financial reporting systems.
Drive cost-saving initiatives and improve financial processes.
Fundraising and Grants Management:
Collaborate with the development team to support fundraising efforts.
Oversee the financial management of grants and ensure compliance with donor requirements.
Team Leadership:
Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Provide professional development opportunities to team members.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Act as a key liaison with external stakeholders, including auditors, financial institutions, and regulatory agencies.
Maintain strong relationships with the board of directors and finance committee.
Basic Hiring Criteria :
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
A minimum of 10 years of experience in financial management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
Desired Qualifications :
Proven experience in strategic financial planning, budgeting, and financial analysis.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance requirements.
Knowledge of healthcare, behavioral health, private pay, MediCal, and Medicaid.
Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively present financial information to diverse audiences.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Experience in the non-profit sector and knowledge of grant management is highly desirable.
