Description
SAIC is seeking a Cloud Engineer for its Engineering Team! This is a role heavily focused on solving engineering challenges in multiple cloud environments with a high-performing team of collaborative cloud engineering professionals. This team is responsible for the architecture, engineering, and deployment of USSF Cloud Initiatives, designed to streamline performance, reduce administrative overhead and workload, and deliver a seamless user experience with our customers. We are looking for talent primarily in Vandenberg, CA, El Segundo, California and Colorado Springs, Colorado for hybrid work situation.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide support to on-premises, hybrid, and public cloud toolsets and best practices.
Monitors system performance and availability, ensuring high uptime.
Optimizes cloud resources to balance performance and cost-effectiveness.
Works closely with developers, DevOps teams, and other stakeholders to integrate cloud solutions.
Proposes and implements enhancements to existing cloud systems.
Configure and troubleshoot cloud, virtual, and physical hardware and software systems.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and five (5)+ years or more of related experience in cloud computing systems integration and automation within a DevOps culture.
Active Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance; must be a current U.S. Citizen.
At least three (3) years of experience implementing and support cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, OCI).
Demonstrated experience with some or all of the following: Networking, VPNs, IaaS, PaaS, SQL, Jenkins, Terraform.
Experience with containerization tools such as Kubernetes or Docker.
Experience with Zero Trust, identity management, and automated security monitoring.
Desired Skills/Qualifications:
Active Top Secret Clearance.
Experience with automation tools including Ansible and Terraform.
Cloud or Platform 1 development, engineering, operations and sustainment.
In-depth understanding of, and experience as a cloud engineer with Networking, VPNs, IaaS, PaaS, SQL, storage, Active Directory, F5, Barracuda.
Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
