Summary This position is part of the National Archives and Records Administration. Serves as the Deputy Director at the Ronald W. Reagan Presidential Library (LP-RR). As a full deputy, shares with the Library Director the responsibilities for planning, directing, and administering all programs , activities , and staff of the library. Responsibilities As a Program Management Officer, you will: - Serve as a principal advisor to the Legislative Archives, Presidential Libraries, and Museum Services (L) Executive; the Office of Presidential Libraries (LP) Director; and other officials on Presidential Library programs and serves as a visible representative of the National Archives and Records Administration. - Assist the LP-RR Director in directing programs through subordinate supervisors to a wide range of users (scholars, public officials, general public, etc.). - Assure compliance with federal laws , regulation s, and obligation s relating to overall library administration, museum programs and the Archival programs of LP. - Oversee the development, justification, and presentation of LP-RR budgets and determines need for additional financial and personnel resources. - Maintain close and cordial working relations with the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute , its Board members and other support organizations to secure their advice, counsel, and support in developing the facilities and services of the library and museum. Specialized Experience: For the GS-14, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: - Developing policies, procedures, and standards in order to improve operations; AND - Leading a team or project; to include gaining cooperation from others to obtain information and accomplish goals; AND - Coordinating with executive level staff to make recommendations and implement solutions.
