We have an immediate career opportunity for a Solutions Engineer to join our AGS leadership team in McKinney, Texas. The AGS team's Portfolio of Programs include development and support of modern Government and Commercial Information Management systems. The Kuiper area is a new approach to solution development to maximize service usability and marketability. We are exploring new collaborative agreements with companies like Amazon Web Services (AWS) to co-develop and deploy novel capabilities to the Government and to the commercial space.
The Solutions Engineer (SE) position is responsible for the development of an engineering approach to the partnership with multiple companies. The SE will guide the approach to ensure Raytheon is fairly represented in the final technical approach and help shape the solutions and high-level designs for many resulting proposals and programs. As such, the solutions engineer will be responsible for ensuring the solution design is consistent throughout and focused to the customers' needs.
The Solutions Engineer is responsible for understanding and developing capabilities that are useful to RTX and to other companies and individuals throughout the world to maximize the service usability and marketability in a competitive service-based landscape. The Solution Engineer will bring knowledge back to the RIS leadership. The SE will help shape future product offerings and guide IRAD projects that will enable Raytheon to maximize its utilization of the commercial service. The SE will deliver capabilities to meet the partnership agreements. The SE will help align future Raytheon capabilities to fully utilize the new capabilities offered through companies like Amazon, ensuring a long-term leadership position in delivering those capabilities into the Government ecosystem.
Required Skills:
Develop partnership strategy with commercial service providers such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), other Amazon business units and other similar commercial service providers to co-develop and deploy novel capabilities related to space constellations, services related to space-based computing and seamless computing in various regions of the world.
Lead the technical discussion with commercial partners such as Amazon to create relationships and product offering that are beneficial to Raytheon and Raytheon's customers.
Work with the pursuit team and program teams to ensure the commercial principles that are entailed in the agreement are implemented to sufficiently deliver on Raytheon's commitment to the partnership
Function as a team leader without direct supervisory responsibility
Establish mid-term (1 to 3 years) operational plans in support of the organizational business strategy
Guide the development of major new products, process, or systems standards in support of RIS/RMD/Corporate's long-term business strategies
As an influencer in the development partnership discussions, the Kuiper Solution Engineer will shape enterprise level capabilities that enable RTX services to be offered in a commercial market.
Seek to change individuals' minds or persuade them to accept the organization's perspective or point of view.
The Kuiper Solution Engineer will articulate RTXs solution approach to commercial companies like Amazon as well as to new and existing Government customers and senior internal RTX stakeholders.
The solutions engineer will have to convince Raytheon leadership and Customer leadership that the new services offered through a commercial provider can deliver Government mission requirements.
The solution engineer will determine in which zones (regions of the world) services will be offered to ensure they can meet the needs of Raytheon and commercial providers.
The solution engineer will also deter the commercial service strategy and work with RTX leadership to develop the overall service offering including pricing.
The engineer will articulate RTXs strategy and approach while addressing the Customer's questions and concerns to shape future acquisitions and the transition to a commercial acquisition model.
The SE will ensure that the services delivered are robust and capable of delivering mission critical functionality.
The SE will modify, adapt or enhance quality or value in existing methods and improve day-to-day activities
This position requires the individual to understand the legacy acquisition and service delivery processes and articulate the benefit of new acquisition approaches and technology delivery to Raytheon and the Government.
The individual will lead trade studies for the Raytheon and the partnership and recommend new technologies based on the lessons learned.
Creation of modern and novel design approaches to space-based capabilities and commercial service delivery models.
This unique skillset requires the ability to lead across multiple companies through mastery of multiple engineering domains and business models.
Ideally located in McKinney, but can be in El Segundo, Aurora, Dallas, Marlborough or any location with SCIF facilities

Knows Raytheon internal processes and people well enough to know how to tailor for maximum efficiency and effectiveness
Deep expertise in commercial data management systems
Expert knowledge of the related market with the ability to identify best practices and how to best utilize within RTX.
Educational and Experience Requirements:
Requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 15+ years of related work experience
Security Clearance Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen and currently have a DoD-TS Security Clearance or equivalent.
