SAIC is seeking a highly motivated Senior Systems Administrator to join our team, providing technical assistance and support in Vandenberg, California.
As a Systems Administrator on our team, you will provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information technology (IT) systems within a government setting.
This team is responsible for the software lifecycle, and deployment of USSF Cloud Initiatives, designed to streamline performance, reduce administrative overhead and workload, and deliver a seamless user experience with our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Supports the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization to include system tuning, backup, troubleshooting and user support.
Supports upgrades to computer components and software, management of virtual servers, and integration of automation processes and supports troubleshooting hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing the impact of issues.
Supports documentation and technical specifications for planning and implementing new or upgraded IT infrastructure and supports regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university?and five?(5)+ years' experience as a Systems Administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required.
Must have active TS/SCI security clearance; must be a current U.S. Citizen.
IAT Level II (CompTIA Sec+ or equivalent) Certification.
Experience configuring, optimizing, fine-tuning, and monitoring operating system software and hardware.
Experience conducting server builds using an approved baseline and apply all required patches, settings and configurations.
Proven Systems Administrator support to systems hosting complex operational databases, software configuration control, and system interfaces for computer systems.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:
Experience providing basic support of Identity Management roles, policies, hardware, software maintain AD/GAL synchronization.
Experience with any other cloud environments including AWS and/or Azure Certifications.
Scripting Experience: PowerShell and VBScript.
Experience with Infrastructure as code technologies such as Terraform, Ansible, etc.
DoDD 8570.01-M IAT IIAND MCSA relevant to the candidate's work area OR
VMware Certified Associate (VCA) or VMware Certified Technical Associate (VCTA) OR
Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate.
Microsoft Certified Associate relevant to work area or Microsoft 365 Certified: Messaging Administrator Associate.
Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
