Our Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) Department has an immediate opportunity for a mid-career EMI/EMC Test Engineer (Electromagnetic interference-Electromagnetic compatibility) seeking to join a team of creative thinkers working on tactical defense solutions recognized around the world. E3 is responsible for minimizing electromagnetics effects that may degrade the operational capability of equipment, systems, and platforms within their electromagnetic environments (EME). Therefore, our section works diligently to analyze our work products with the goal of preventing electromagnetics from interfering with their ability to function as designed. We ensure maximum operational capabilities of our work products over their intended lifespan. The EMI/EMC Test Engineer works under the direction EMI Engineer during the Verification and Validation phase of a product lifecycle.
The EMI/EMC Test Engineer is critical to the effective completion of verification testing and performs the following tasks:
-Setting up test equipment to conduct verification testing
-Troubleshooting failures and equipment outages
-Recommending solutions to problems and issues
-Developing, modifying, sustaining and enforcing related policy as well as overseeing the operation and maintenance of lab equipment and tools.

Required Skills:
Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of and proficiency in E3 technical standards especially MIL-STD 464 and MIL-STD 461.
-Minimum 5+ years of related work experience verifying hardware through testing using MIL-STD-464, MIL-STD-461 and related technical standards.
-Able to set up and conduct RF Emissions and Susceptibility testing per MIL-STD-464, MIL-STD-461 and related technical standards using RF instruments such as signal generators, RF amplifiers, spectrum analyzers, antennas, probes and ESD equipment.
-Manage an EMC/EMI laboratory, especially the calibration RF equipment to ISO 17025.
-Ability to work autonomously and within a team setting.
-An active and in-scope US Secret Security Clearance
-Position requires less than 25% travel to McKinney, TX, Largo, FL, Ft. Wayne, IN or a customer site
Desired Skills:
-Able to verify hardware against Power Quality requirements using MIL-STD-704 and related technical standards.
-Able to set up and implement Power Quality testing using MIL-STD-704 and related technical standards.
-Able to set up and implement DO-160 testing.
Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree in a related STEM discipline; Electrical Engineering preferred
Desired Education:
Advanced STEM degree in a related discipline
-International Association for Radio, Telecommunications and Electromagnetics (iNARTE) Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Engineer Certification
-Certified TEMPEST Professional Level II (CTP-II) Certification
