Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Construction Director to join our team! In this role, you will manage all on-site field construction activities associated with the completion of a large project (construction value $500M+), ensuring maximum efficiency and timely execution.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Direct the overall planning of construction activities to identify critical milestones and priorities.
- Determine budget estimates and staffing requirements for the defined scope and schedule.
- Ensure the timely availability of subcontractors and major construction equipment to maximize efficiency and productivity.
- Establish assignments for Construction Superintendents and monitor progress, recommending corrective action as necessary.
- Conduct performance evaluations and recommend promotions and salary actions.
- Manage the assignment of manpower, materials, and equipment to maximize efficiency, maintain schedules, and meet budget goals.
- Stay alert to potential problem areas and take preventative action to ensure that critical milestones are met for each phase of the project.
- Ensure the use of sound construction practices to attain required quality control at maximum efficiency and minimum cost.
- Prepare periodic reports summarizing progress of construction activities for higher-level management and clients, including formal presentations.
- Ensure effective implementation of all company and client policies and procedures, including labor relations policies.
- Serve as the primary contact with client representatives, subcontractors, and government representatives for construction-related activities.
- Maintain strong client and community relations.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in a construction-related field (or equivalent construction-related work experience).
- Typically, 15+ years of experience in field construction is required.
- Experience in the construction of large civil/structural and/or industrial projects at domestic and/or foreign locations is preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of construction-related processes, industry practices, and the technical aspects of all facilities to be erected.
- Demonstrated effective managerial capability.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Willingness to relocate to construction site locations as needed.

- Proven ability to manage complex construction projects and teams effectively.

Salary Range:
