Description: As a Test Engineer in Skunk Works®, you will play an integral role as liaison between our design engineering teams and the elite women and men responsible for building tomorrow's future in an advanced manufacturing and technology facility. You will work amongst a team of specialized and professionally diverse engineers to develop vehicle test processes and plans, determine testing integration points throughout vehicle assembly and provide direct support to the production floor for troubleshooting any system failures.
This role may require infrequent travel and possible weekend/off-hour support.

Interface With Shop Floor Management & Shop Floor Personnel To Help Troubleshoot And Resolve Vehicle Test Issues And Implement Process Improvements To Increase Efficiency
Create Shop Aid Tooling, Analyze Shop Floor Performance And Support The Quality Organization In Root Cause Analysis And Corrective Action Activities For Process-Related Defects

Basic Qualifications:
-Experience testing and troubleshooting of aircraft sub-systems such as: fuel systems, pumps, valves, actuators, hydraulics, electrical (wire harness and interconnect, sensors)
-Experience authoring air vehicle system (fuel, hydraulic, electrical, etc.) test procedures, work instructions and plans to validate air vehicle to meet airworthiness requirements.
-Experience with aircraft sub-systems assembly and vehicle integration operations.
-Hands-on experience with test equipment (such as pneumatic test equipment, multimeter, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers) and vehicle Ground Support Equipment (GSE), such as hydraulic mules, power carts, cooling air carts, etc.
-Active Secret Clearance required to apply with an investigation within the last 5 years AND the ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access prior to start
Desired Skills:
Experience and knowledge of typical Flight Line operations and ground support activities
Demonstrated interpersonal and collaboration skills required in a team environment
Ability to effectively present technical information to non-technical audiences
Development/ protype/ first article program support
Jet engine integration
Jet engine service and maintenance familiarity
Ability to determine the required regression testing during air vehicle rework, maintenance, or troubleshooting
conducting Safety Briefs/Huddles prior to testing in order to ensure team safety, FOD compliance, and efficiency during test events
Ability to understand aircraft system operation to an IPT level for all air vehicle systems
Experience testing protype air vehicles
Strong knowledge of all phases of manufacturing
Manufacturing Engineer type role previously held
3DX and Catia V5 software usage
STEM type degree
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, Washington or Washington DC is $82,200 - $157,500. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

Pay Rate:
