Filius is seeking a experienced Electronics Technician to join our team in support of our United States Air Force (USAF) contract. The ideal candidate will have experience in electronics, connector fabrication and repair of connectors IAW Military Standard and soldering. This position will work on-site at our facility in North Charleston, SC.
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED Required
Associate's Degree preferred, in a related discipline, or equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work experience.
Minimum Qualifications:
Electronics experience, Connector Fabrication and Repair of Connectors IAW Mil-Std. and soldering experience
Familiarity with IPC J-STD-001H Certification Training Requirements for Soldered Electrical and Electronic Assemblies along with IPC-A-620D Certification Training Requirements and Acceptance for Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies.
Familiarity with interpreting electronic circuit diagrams, wiring schematics and configurations to support systems. Two (2) years of practical experience, to include: electronics repair, maintenance, and checkout.
Desired Skills:
Formal electronics training from: Technical School, Navy A and C military school or equivalent in electronics or communications. Four (4) year electronics apprentice program or Two (2) years of practical experience, to include: electronics repair, maintenance, troubleshooting and checkout.
Formal training, to include: Soldering, Connector Fabrication and Repair of Connectors IAW Mil-Std. (Cable Fabrication).
IPC J-STD-001H Certification Training Requirements for Soldered Electrical and Electronic Assemblies.
IPC-A-620D Certification Training Requirements and Acceptance for Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies.
Knowledge with interpreting electronic circuit diagrams, wiring schematics and configurations to support systems. Familiarity using various hand tools.
Primary Duties, Responsibilities, and Essential Job Functions:
Applies basic technical knowledge or perform simple or routine tasks following detailed instructions. This person works under supervision receiving technical guidance from supervisor or higher-level technician.
Performs such tasks as replacing components/equipment, wiring circuits, rack integration (depopulate and populate), cable management, Runs and installs cables into cableways. Banding and cable labeling required.
Works from schematics, diagrams, written, and verbal instructions. Takes test readings using common instruments such as a multi-meter.
