GDIT is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineer for the USCENTCOM Information Technology Services (CITS) Program supporting the USCENTCOM J6 in Tampa, FL. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud infrastructure, automation, and a deep understanding of cloud computing technologies. This role will involve designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable cloud solutions that meet our organization's needs
Duties and Responsibilities:
Cloud Infrastructure Design: Design and implement scalable, secure, and reliable cloud infrastructure using Azure platform.
Automation: Develop and maintain automation scripts using tools like BICEP to streamline cloud deployments
Monitoring & Optimization: Monitor cloud environments for performance, availability, and cost optimization, making necessary adjustments to improve efficiency.
Security : Implement cloud security best practices, ensuring data integrity, access control, and compliance with industry standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with development and operations teams to integrate cloud services and ensure seamless deployment of applications.
Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure, providing timely support to ensure minimal downtime.
Ability to work within a Government Tenant processing workloads across IL2, IL5, IL6 cloud tenants in a hybrid format with on premises datacenters Globally positioned.
Education and/or Certifications:
Required:
Bachelor's Degree with a focus in communication or a related field of study
Experience: 3+ years of experience in cloud engineering, with a deep understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
Desired:
Master's Degree with a focus in communication, computer science, engineering, or a related field of study
Azure or AWS Certifications
Required Skills:
Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like BICEP.
Strong understanding of networking, security, and cloud architecture.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Strong fundamental in cloud technologies and offerings within the Azure Platform.
Work in a Agile environment using tools such as Azure DevOps
Ability to deploy workloads into an existing cloud infrastructure to best practices
Desired Skills:
Experience with USCENTCOM and familiarity with its mission

Required USCENTCOM Exercise support of up to 10% Travel during the Year to OCONUS Locations

The likely salary range for this position is $106,250 - $143,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
