OTA is seeking experienced Information Systems Security Officers (ISSO) to manage and implement cybersecurity policies, network audits, and incident response activities. This role requires comprehensive knowledge of cybersecurity principles equivalent to CompTIA Security+ or Certified Information System Security Officer (CISSO) certification. The ISSO will oversee security documentation, perform INFOSEC and COMPUSEC duties, ensure compliance with the Risk Management Framework (RMF), and manage the Cybersecurity Liaison Program.
This position is contingent upon contract award.
Responsibilities
Apply cybersecurity concepts and methodologies equivalent to CompTIA Security+ or CISSO certification
Oversee and manage records related to Account Forms, including Authorized User Agreements, Privileged User Agreements, and Operating System Certifications
Maintain appointment letters for key personnel, including ISSOs, ISSMs, ISSEs, Systems Administrators, and Cybersecurity Liaisons
Perform wireless scanning to detect rogue devices and prevent unauthorized access
Review, update, and enforce the Security Concept of Operations (SECONOPS) and contingency plan policies
Categorize systems and selecting security controls for risk mitigation
Implement, assess, and monitor security controls
Respond to data calls, system changes, and Security Impact Analysis (SIA) submissions
Conduct network audits and review vulnerability scans; respond to detected vulnerabilities and discrepancies
Respond to security incidents, assist with reporting and incident resolution, and maintain proper documentation
Monitor and validate administrator accounts on networks, ensuring discrepancies are addressed promptly
Perform INFOSEC and COMPUSEC duties to ensure compliance with security protocols and standards
Manage the Cybersecurity Liaison Program under the direction of the Wing Cybersecurity Office
Track and issue tokens granting network access and maintain an audit trail for student user tokens
Coordinate with the Security team to conduct random bag inspections and walkthroughs
Verify that all students complete Cybersecurity Awareness training and maintain training records
Provide guidance on media control policies, ensuring proper issuance, tracking, and sanitization of removable media
Respond to TASKORDS/taskers from MAJCOM, including vulnerability remediation and data calls
Manage the Management Internal Control Toolkit (MICT) checklists for programs such as Privileged User and RMF
Coordinate equipment purchase requests to ensure compliance with product listings and facility access requirements
Required Qualifications
Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility
Associate Degree (STEM field) or Approved Equivalent Experience
IAT/M Level II
Minimum of 2 years of risk management framework experience within the last 5 years
