Description
Alaska Northstar Resources (ANR) is currently seeking a qualified Security Expert II to join our team to provide support on a long-term contract.
The Security Expert's responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Perform varying tasks applied to specialized cyber security problems.
Provide cyber security support for planning, design, development, testing, demonstration, and integration of information systems.
Develop System Security Plans using Risk Management Framework (RMF) for DoD Information Technology (IT).
Perform STIG review, remediation, and results.
Integration of electronic processes or methodologies to resolve total system problems, or technology problems as they relate to cyber security requirements.
Lead mitigation of vulnerabilities derived from security scans.
Define systems requirements based on user/client needs, cost, and required integration with existing applications, systems, or platforms.
Define technical standards and functionality tests.
Develop specifications, prototypes, or initial user guides.
Work with project managers, developers, and end users to ensure application designs meet business requirements.
Design, plan, and coordinate application systems and programming work teams.
Provide functional or operational support to project development and software test team members.
Manage complex application strategies features and technical concepts.
Familiar with a variety of software engineering concepts, practices, and testing procedures.
Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
May be required to lead and direct the work of others.
A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Requirements
Candidate must be US Citizen
Candidate must have active DoD Secret Clearance at minimum.
Candidate must have at least 10 years of experience in cybersecurity related to Cloud Service Providers (e.g., Google, Oracle, Akamai, AWS, and Azure).
Experience with providing cyber security support for planning, design, development, testing, demonstration, integration of information systems.
Experienced assisting in assessment and authorization activities for DoD information systems. Experience utilizing eMASS to document security control test results.
Knowledgeable with creating and updating RMF related artifacts specific to NIST security control families.
Experience with RMF, eMASS, ACAS and Air Force AandA process.
Familiar with a variety of the technical field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
Capable of developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure that systems support the organization's business requirements and meet the needs of end users.
Familiar with Configuration Management tools and advanced software test tools capable evaluating information assurance and functional performance.
Desired Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Capable of obtaining relevant DoD 8140 IAM professional certification
Bachelor's degree
Work Environment
Office environment. Requires ability to provide clear, concise, accurate and timely communication, both verbally and in writing (100%). Requires ability to interact professionally with co-workers, management, and client (100%). Occasional business travel may be required. Only requested and approved expenses will be covered by ANR.

The pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
