Description
Alaska Northstar Federal is currently seeking a Project Manager to join our high-powered team for a long-term, fully remote opportunity supporting a DoD program with the US Air Force. The Project Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:
Duties include planning, directing, controlling, organizing, and coordinating the work activity of personnel involved in all aspects of this contract.
Implementing a quality assurance program to insure services and products conform to applicable standards.
Formulating statements of management and technical problems.
Evaluating proposed computer systems to determine technical feasibility, implementation costs, operation costs, and functional adequacy.
Briefs senior management on project milestones, baselines, and costs.
Works within Agile SDLC framework to include managing work activity in two- to three-week sprints, participating in daily scrums, conducting sprint planning sessions, conducting sprint retrospective sessions, and utilizing sprint tracking software to communicate work activity to stakeholders.
Requirements
Candidate minimum requirements
Candidate must be US Citizen
Candidate must have an active DoD Secret Clearance at minimum
Candidate must have active CompTIA Security+ CE or other applicable active 8570 IAT Level II Certification
Candidate must have 10+ years experience with the following:
Managing projects of progressively more complex system/software development as a team leader, manager, or project manager.
Experience managing and facilitating system governance processes, including ticket queue management, governance request prioritization, and SLA management.
Expertise in coordinating governance board meetings and documenting outcomes
Proficiency in conducting TIMs and managing migration task lifecycles.
Expertise in scoping, work breakdown, and cost estimation for new system capabilities, onboarding and migration efforts.
Experience facilitating process retrospectives and driving continuous improvement through BPR methodologies.
Experience with role-based learning paths and coaching for Agile SDLC processes (Scrum, Kanban, Scrumban, SAFe).
Skills in designing learning paths and best practices for team collaboration.
Desired skills (not required)
Bachelor's degree
Skilled in facilitating the onboarding customers to Atlassian tools including requirement gathering, complexity scoring, and task management.
Ability to tailor training materials based on the specific needs of different teams and users.

The pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
