To Be Considered, You Should:
Have valid teaching credentials.
Related experience working with all at-risk youth.
Knowledge of: Instructional strategies and how they can be employed to deliver curriculum and assess student learning, various methodologies and research related to learning and working with at-risk, highschool youth, effective classroom management techniques and behavioral management styles that result in understanding of how to manage and teach to various learning styles, effective communication techniques that enable positive and productive collaboration with other site staff, and technology and how it is utilized as an educational tool.
Ability to: Establish a teaching rapport with students which results in student achievement in all program areas, collaborate with staff to assist in the delivery of curriculum and implement a team approach to working with students, learn and utilize computers in the overall function of performing required teaching duties, and accept additional tasks a s assigned including flexible work schedule and extracurricular assignments.
Ability to operate a company vehicle during the course of employment, must meet the requirements to be an eligible ROP driver. Must possess a current State Driver's License and have an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years.
Ability to pass a criminal background clearance check, drug screen, physical and TB test.
Ability to utilize resources available to complete assigned projects.
Ability to prepare written reports and correspondence.
Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
Ability to effectively communicate, verbally and in writing.
Able to work at least 40 hours per week with the possibility of a varied schedule.
Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
Must have excellent organization and time management skills.
Ability to build and maintain positive internal and external relationships.
Ability to provide exemplary customer service to all employees and outside constituents.
Ability to function independently and as a member of a team in a multi-task environment.
Must be flexible and able to handle multiple priorities, with the ability to adjust to high pressure and rapidly changing business conditions.
Proficient in the use of computers and associated software.
