Job Summary
As a Product & Test Engineer for the Uncooled Camera Calibration Development team, the successful candidate will interface with other team members representing a wide range of disciplines, including software engineering, test engineering, mechanical design, and system design. With product responsibility, the successful candidate will help coordinate specifications between these groups, conduct tests, troubleshoot problems, analyze data, recommend product/process improvements, complete product validations / qualifications and maintain documentation, all with the goal of developing the best infrared sensor technology in the industry
Job Duties
Responsible for technical activity and completion of assigned task on time and budget
Design, develop, analyze, document and support testing of products, systems or subsystems
May use computer-aided engineering or other design/analysis software in the performance of assignments. Ability to work independently, regular reporting of progress and status
Review customer specifications and requirements, and under direction develops designs to best support them, including cost as a key design variable
Provide budget, cost and schedule input for design assignments
Support the program design to cost and design for manufacture requirements
Communicate clearly (written and oral) with other company personnel and the customer as required
May provide technical knowledge and assistance to other engineers and support personnel
Able to work on multiple assignments and with multiple teams simultaneously
Excels in problem solving and troubleshooting
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or other similar engineering disciplines
Equivalent work experience of 8-10 years will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a US DoD clearance as needed, which requires US citizenship.
Python experience highly desired.
Desired Skills
.NET, C#, C, C++, Python, Visual Basic, VB Scripting or equivalent programming language
Familiarity with of Oscilloscopes, Power Supplies, Logic Analyzers, Source Measure Unit, DMMs, etc.
Test experience of infrared detectors, or equivalent 2D imaging sensors, is a plus
Familiarity with MatLab, ImageJ or similar software tools for evaluating / processing image data, is a plus

9/80 Work Schedule - Our company offers a 9/80 work schedule, which gives the successful candidate an opportunity to have every other Friday off; this is equivalent to 26 extra PTO (paid time off) days each year, in addition to your standard PTO. We encourage our team members to utilize this benefit as much as possible. There will be times when off-shift support is required; however, our team works well to share these workloads.

U.S. Citizenship required. This position requires an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.
