Description: The Senior Manager for Sensors & Global Sustainment (S&GS) Communications oversees all communications for the S&GS line of business, comprised of 6,000 people across three business segments in more than 50 locations. In this role, the communicator will provide direct communications support to the general manager and vice president of S&GS and lead internal and external communications for Mission Systems which includes the world's leading advanced sensors portfolio.
What You Will Be Doing
Responsible for the communications associated with program execution and continued business growth for S&GS.
Lead communications teams supporting the Special Operations Forces Global Logistics Support Services and the Lockheed Martin Ampthill site in the United Kingdom.
Responsible for delivering strong communications results, and ensuring message consistency in support of executives, key decision makers and global customers.
Collaborate with Business Development to lead communications associated with S&GS campaigns including capture and keep-sold efforts.

Basic Qualifications:
Proven leader with the ability to motivate and provide strong communications guidance to team members, while continuously focusing on company-wide culture and alignment.
Experience developing and editing communications, and integrated communications plans that deliver desired results.
Demonstrated leadership skills with proven experience coaching a diverse communications team to achieve their full potential.
Experience in executive communications and willingness to provide feedback to senior leaders.
Ability to build strong relationships with peers.
Led crisis communications and/or issues management
Provide strategic insights for employee communications, marketing and social/digital media.
Use metrics, data and feedback to continuously improve, adjust and drive decisions.
Ability to obtain a DOD Secret clearance.
Ability to travel as needed.
Bachelor's degree. Desired Skills:
Media relations and/or public affairs officer experience preferred.
Understanding of how to be a leader of leaders.
Executive communications experience; quickly finding the "voice" for executives and proven experience positioning them as industry thought leaders.
Experience writing for complex subject matters.
Work experience in a matrixed organization.
Experience working and supporting executives.
