Top Skills - Must Haves:
10 years of real-time embedded software experience: Proven expertise in developing real-time embedded software solutions.
Experience with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) and Linux: Demonstrated proficiency in RTOS and Linux environments.
Bare-metal implementation: Hands-on experience with bare-metal development for embedded systems.
Embedded device drivers: Skilled in working with TCP/IP, UART, I2C, PCIe, and other embedded device drivers.
Multi-threading/multi-processing: Solid understanding of multi-threading and multi-processing concepts and implementations.
C or C++ development: Strong development experience in C or C++ (minimum 3 years).
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related engineering technical field.
Security clearance: This position requires an active DoD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance.
Job Responsibilities:
Technical activities: Support and participate in various technical activities.
Design and development: Design, develop, analyze, document, and support testing of products, systems, or subsystems.
Leadership: Lead and direct the work of others as assigned.
Modern software development: Experience with modern software development processes, including software configuration management tools, defect tracking tools, peer review, and agile development life cycles.
Prototyping: Develop prototypes to retire key development risks as directed.
Communication: Communicate clearly (written and oral) with other company personnel and customers as required.
Integration and testing: Integrate hardware and software and develop test plans and procedures.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Embedded systems and Linux: Must have experience with embedded systems, bare-metal development, and Linux (Red Hat or FreeRTOS).
Device drivers and hardware interfacing: Experience with device drivers and interfacing with hardware such as cameras or FPGAs.
USB and UART knowledge: Knowledge of USB and UART.
Analytical and communication skills: Strong analytical and communication skills.
VXWorks experience: VXWorks experience is a plus.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $65.00/hr.
