The GEOINT Analyst will work within a government/contractor team environment supporting the mission of the Maritime Safety Office (SFH). These personnel shall be proficient working in a dynamic, fast paced, team environment supporting critical Maritime GEOINT activities through their GEOINT domain expertise.
Currently, ManTech is seeking a Geospatial Analyst to join our team in Springfield, VA!
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Develops and maintains geographical information systems databases, applications, and tools.
Compiles geospatial data, conducts analysis, develops models, and produces maps and reports.
Maintains and refines existing map databases to reflect the latest data.
Extract imagery from all available imagery platforms and access methods.
Produce orthorectified images in support of all SFH products (such as DNC, ENC, CPENC, LPC, DWC, NtM) and ad-hoc requests.
Evaluate orthorectified images to the highest quality, accuracy, and consistency possible.
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year of demonstrated experience in each of the following areas:
Cartographic finishing and feature extraction related experience.
Delineating aerial photographic detail using stereoscopic plotting and computer graphics equipment.
Demonstrated experience performing image assessment, control point selection, mensuration, triangulation, orthorectification, and processing to produce standard or non-standard products.
Knowledge of map projections and their properties.
Must have a minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working geospatial data in a multi-user enterprise environment.
Experience analyzing data from ground surveys, reports, aerial photographs, and satellite images to prepare topographic maps and aerial photograph mosaics.
Experience preparing and altering trace maps, charts, tables, detailed drawings, and three-dimensional optical models of terrain using stereoscopic plotting and computer graphics equipment.
Experience evaluating commercial imagery products for accuracy.
Ability to collect data from rasterized sources including the proper rectifying of the source if so required.
Ability to use imagery for the purposes of nautical chart compilation.
Knowledge of geospatial database content management.
Clearance Requirements:
Must have an active TS/SCI.
Physical Requirements:
The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
