As an IT Sr Manager at Parsons, you will perform analytical, technical, and administrative work in the planning, design, and installation of new and existing personal computer systems, workstations, and servers. You will diagnose and resolve problems in response to customer-reported incidents, confer with end users to determine hardware and software requirements, and install and maintain hardware and software components. Your role will also involve training end users, performing general maintenance tasks, troubleshooting issues, preparing progress reports, evaluating products, and recommending support or non-support of evaluated products.
What You'll Be Doing:
- System Planning and Installation: Perform analytical, technical, and administrative work in the planning, design, and installation of new and existing personal computer systems, workstations, and servers.
- Problem Diagnosis and Resolution: Diagnose and resolve problems in response to customer-reported incidents, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
- End User Consultation: Confer with end users to determine types of hardware and software required, providing expert advice and recommendations.
- Hardware and Software Installation: Install new hardware and software components and maintain existing ones to ensure optimal performance.
- User Training: Train end users in the use of equipment and software, enhancing their technical skills and knowledge.
- Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform general maintenance tasks and troubleshoot and resolve issues with computer systems and peripheral equipment throughout the organization.
- Progress Reporting: Prepare progress reports for all work performed, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Product Evaluation: Evaluate products for compatibility, expandability, ease of use, and support. Recommend to management the support or non-support of evaluated products.
- Best Practices: Expand knowledge of best practices and incorporate them into all work assignments and procedures. Evaluate and enhance current practices to ensure optimal support of diversity.
- Team Leadership: Oversee leadership of teams and projects that involve extensive cooperation and coordination. Direct and supervise lower-level staff as needed.
- Presentations and Proposals: Prepare written and/or verbal presentations or proposals on highly complex issues and deliver them to a broad variety of audiences.
- Innovative Solutions: Identify and implement innovative solutions to important, highly complex strategic and/or operational issues, even in the presence of unusual circumstances and incomplete or conflicting data.
- Safety and Environmental Consciousness: Ensure safe practices and environmental consciousness are exhibited in all decisions and actions.
- Independent Work: Work independently on highly complex or strategic assignments, demonstrating initiative and expertise.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's Degree in information technology or other related technical discipline is required.with 8+ years experience. 10+ years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education.
- Must have a current/active Secret clearance and the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance if it is required in the future.
- Proven experience as an IT Manager or in a similar role, with a focus on system planning, installation, and maintenance.
- Experience in diagnosing and resolving technical problems and providing end-user support.
- Experience in evaluating and recommending IT products and solutions.
- Extensive knowledge of personal computer systems, workstations, servers, and peripheral equipment.
- Proficiency in hardware and software installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of IT best practices and industry standards.

Salary Range:
