Nightwing is seeking a DevOps Intern for the summer of 2025, supporting the High Consequence Missions (HCM) business area in Dulles, Virginia *. * As a DevOps Intern, you will work closely with our DevOps team to support and enhance our cloud infrastructure. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about cloud technologies and eager to learn more about automating and managing cloud environments.
This is an ONSITE position.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the management and maintenance of Linux-based systems.
Gain hands-on experience with cloud computing platforms, specifically AWS.
Support the team in automating cloud infrastructure management tasks.
Learn and apply best practices for cloud infrastructure and automation.
Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
Participate in the development and implementation of cloud automation scripts.
Requirements
Basic knowledge of Linux operating systems.
Understanding of cloud computing concepts, with a focus on AWS.
Eagerness to learn about and work with cloud infrastructure automation tools and practices.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Good communication skills and a proactive attitude.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
GPA of 3.0+ on a 4.0 grade scale.
-Must be a U.S. Citizen and willing/able to obtain a U.S. government issued security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
Coursework or hands-on projects related to cloud computing or infrastructure automation.
Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, TypeScript.
