Deloitte's Capital Asset Energy Sector practice is expanding. Our work is dedicated to promoting power sector energy diplomacy and energy security, improving energy policy governance, operational, and institutional reform , increasing clean energy deployment, supporting natural resource development and investment. You will be based in the Washington, DC area and work with energy utilities and clients around the world. Our work is mission-driven and we help our clients achieve their goals of securing and digitizing energy supply chains, accelerating decarbonization of their energy systems, addressing climate-change risk, accelerating new technology commercialization, and enabling equitable stakeholder development in support of a clean and sustainable energy transition.
Work you'll do
As an Analyst within our practice, you will:
Work with international and domestic clients to devise and apply smart solutions to critical climate and energy sector problems
Identify and directly support energy and electricity sector stakeholders while working with senior government clients and counterparts on macro-economic challenges and policy solutions
Participate in team problem solving efforts and offer ideas to solve client issues
Improve electric utility customer service operations and develop innovative, market-driven solutions for the energy transition
Contribute to climate, electricity, sustainable mining, renewable energy and/or water infrastructure resiliency
Conduct relevant research, data analysis, and develop strategies and recommendation reports
Maintain responsibility for completion and accuracy of work products
Assist in proposal development, as requested
Actively expand consulting skills and professional development through training courses, mentoring, and regular interaction with the Deloitte leadership and our clients

Qualifications
Required:
Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant discipline or concentration (energy and environment, precious minerals, sustainability)
Strong academic track record (minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8)
A strong understanding of Windows-based applications including proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Ability to travel up to 25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
Must live within a commutable distance to your assigned office (e.g. 100 mile radius) with the ability to commute daily, if required, upon start date.
Strong research and writing skills, including the ability to develop/edit/revise technical subject matter reports
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
Must have the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance
Must be at least 18 years of age at time of employment
Preferred:
Strong academic track record (minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2)
Relevant work experience or work experience in a professional environment (e.g., internships, summer positions, school jobs
Foreign language competency preferred (Spanish, French, Portuguese, or others)
Experience writing for government entities/international organizations/multilateral donors
Experience in the energy sector (e.g., mining, power, etc.) and familiarity with recent market trends and the impact of climate policy
International experience a plus
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $36.06 to $41.35
