Summary
The Technical Intern will solve real-world challenges while working with leaders on meaningful projects that directly relate to key KCNSC business goals.
Duties and Responsibilities
Support the implementation of IT initiatives and technical improvement efforts. Partner on IT efforts and projects including coordinating activities, personnel and budget
Follow defined IT project management processes, standards, and procedures. Provides process feedback supporting potential improvement opportunities
Support IT initiatives (efforts / projects) through the conceptual, requirements gathering, design, development and implementation phases
Assist in security administration, data analytics and event monitoring
Design, implement and test state-of-the-art secure security systems, networks, and database solutions
Provide technical support, execute requests and answer general how to questions in a high security environment
You Must Have
Must be pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Data Science, Cyber Security or MIS
Must graduate after December 2025
Must continue enrollment in degree program upon completion of the internship for 1+ more years
Ability to work remote, hybrid, or on-site as directed by management and is determined by the needs of the business
Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job
United States Citizenship
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance (some positions require additional DOE designations)
