JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Description JOB OBJECTIVE: The Cloud security
internship is designed to give students an opportunity to apply
concepts, protocols and tools acquired through coursework in the real
world by working side-by-side with our cyber security professionals. The
internship will focus on areas such as Application Security, risk
assessment and mitigation, threat modeling. Interns may be involved in
providing day-to-day support as needed including: Security
monitoring, security incident response, vulnerability management and
penetration testing. Research and documentation development on how
various technologies and processes work. Gathering, reporting and
delivery of security metrics. Various small projects and process
assistance as needed. CORE DUTIES: 1. Daily monitoring of Promega's
security environment. 2. Assistance with Vulnerability Management,
Application Security Posture Management, Cloud Security Posture
Management. 3. Promoting and identifying concerns related to Information
Security. 4. Understands and complies with ethical, legal, and
regulatory requirements applicable to our business. KEY
QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Be currently enrolled in a program with a technical
focus such as computer science, cybersecurity or software engineering.
Be fluent in the use of Microsoft Windows operating system(s) and
Microsoft Office suite applications and some Linux experience. 3. The
ideal candidate will possess a strong interest in the field of
information technology and business. 4. The ability to work within a
busy team and corporate environment in a professional manner. 5.
Excellent verbal and written communication, analytical, problem solving
skills, time management, and customer service skills, including ability
to be assertive and diplomatic. 6. Basic knowledge and experience with
any of the following: open-source intelligence (OSINT), secure software
development, cloud security. 7. Previous work or classroom experience in
one of the following: information systems, systems audit, information
systems security, or data analytics. 8. Self-starter with the aptitude
for learning on the fly and interest in the application of basic and
advanced information security practices. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 1.
Experience with Microsoft Azure. 2. CompTIA/ISC2/EC-council
Certifications. 3. Experience with HackTheBox Academy/Portswigger
WebAcademy/TryHackMe. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 1. Ability to use a
computer/Microsoft Office applications. 2. Ability to communicate by
phone and e-mail. 3. Ability to move objects up to 50 pounds
