Department Summary:
The N114 Resilient Warfighter Space Services Department is committed to ensuring resilient space-based capabilities to enable successful joint warfighting across all domains. We achieve mission success by leveraging our operational understanding, technical expertise, comprehensive view of the technology landscape, and cross-enterprise connectivity. Our team conducts cutting-edge technical research and prototype development, providing senior government leaders with data-driven insights to advance space-based capabilities. Our diverse portfolio spans multiple missions, with a focus on resilient Satellite Communications (SATCOM) and Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT). As a major contributor to the Space Warfighting Division, the N114 department enables resilient space-based solutions that enhance the effectiveness of joint warfighters in and across all domains.
Job Description:
You will utilize your knowledge of engineering and other similar technical disciplines, to contribute to a diverse range of tasks. These tasks will be tailored to align with your development goals and the needs of our sponsors. This position may also require you to work independently within a team setting, where you will analyze complex problem sets in sponsor mission areas to include SATCOM and PNT. Upon successful execution of your responsibilities, your contributions will include:
Contributing to the Department's projects within a collaborative team environment
Conducting trade studies, modeling and simulation, and other forms of analysis
Basic Qualifications:
Typically requires less than 1 year of related experience with a related Bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
U.S. citizen with the capability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
Possess a keen interest in acquiring new skills and exploring emerging technologies
Currently pursuing (or have recently obtained) a degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or similar STEM fields
Strong interest in general technical disciplines such as communications, electromagnetics, artificial intelligence, and digital signal processing
Strong interest in working in sponsor mission areas to include MilComm and PNT
Possess effective interpersonal skills, enabling you to work efficiently within multidisciplinary teams across various organizations
Experience with modeling and simulation and data analyses employing modern programming languages such as C/C++, Python, and Matlab
This position requires a minimum of 4 days a week
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of satellite communications and/or satellite navigation systems
U.S. citizen with the capability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance.
