Leidos Digital Modernization Sector has an opening for a highly qualified Senior Systems Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity to bring your integration and verification & validation testing background to support across a multi-domain system for the Department of Defense Joint All-Domain Command and Control (JADC2).
In this role, you will support an Integrated Product Team (IPT) for the Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS) Enterprise Systems Engineering Team (ESET) to design solutions that can be delivered at speed, scale, and with the necessary security to deliver operational advantages to the joint warfighter. ABMS is a top modernization priority for the Department of the Air Force and will be the backbone of a network-centric approach to battle management in partnership with all the services across JADC2. This position will work closely with Program Managers, other domain engineers, and Government counterparts across Government and Industry partners.
This position is 75% remote, however you must reside within the Washington, DC Metro Area and travel is to CONUS locations. U.S. Citizenship with an active Secret clearance and eligibility to obtain Top Secret is required.
What will you do in this role?
Help author Initial Capability Documents
Derive functional, system, and performance requirements
Develop various systems engineering artifacts (CONOPs, architecture diagrams, etc.)
Write and review documentation
Provide cross-directorate product team support to engage stakeholders in the completion of assigned tasking.
Provide Model Based Systems Engineering support in for the ABMS enterprise
Provide leadership contributions for all activities associated with capability adjustments defined in formal requirements updates, change control board authorization, customer technical exchanges and product verification/acceptance.
Lead and/or participate in periodic (daily, weekly, monthly) meetings across all program domains including formal customer sessions and milestones.
Additional responsibilities as needed by the program
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and 8+ yrs or master’s with 6+ yrs in engineering, systems engineering, or related technical field. Experience can be considered in lieu of a degree.
US citizenship with Secret clearance and ability to obtain a Top-Secret clearance.
Demonstrable knowledge of systems engineering concepts and applying these concepts to Department of Defense programs.
Enterprise Architecture level data management and governance experience to support building out a cohesive data strategy
Integration Testing (I&T)/Verification and Validation Testing (V&V) background to develop an enterprise strategy for how we conduct those activities from a system-of-systems perspective and identify test certifications and standards that we need for the ABMS product portfolio
Experience employing and using Cameo Systems Modeler
Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with customer representatives, domain experts, and other systems engineers in the development of complex DoD systems.
Demonstrated ability to participate in cross-functional planning, coordination, and task execution situations involving the full spectrum of system integration activities.
Ability to work well with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience.
Ability to express complex technical concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Hands-on experience working with enterprise-wide systems, infrastructure solutions, and services.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $101,400.00 - $183,300.00
