We are actively hiring a Chinese Linguist to join our team working in Reston, VA. You will be responsible for supporting a government agency and your office with translation, transcription, and/or interpretation services.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Linguist will read, triage, review, summarize and translate large amount of data in source-language
The linguist will conduct supplementary research from foreign?language sources on equipment and technologies identified.
The ? linguist should have familiarity with tasking, data collection, and targeting.
Linguist should either be a Native speaker, or a level 4 in reading.
Must be able to get along in a diverse team in a fast-paced environment with high stakes outcomes.
Work will be performed during ordinary hours (e.g., 8-5) in an ordinary work week (Monday-Friday).
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
Bachelor's degree desired
Translation into English
Collection from published, online and broadcast media
Monitoring published, online and broadcast media while identifying relevant content
Selection
Summarizing/Gisting while drawing upon linguistic or cultural expertise
