SAIC is seeking a DevSecOps Systems Engineer to fill a critical position on the SAIC's Prime Program Landmark AOS in Chantilly, VA. Landmark AOS is a large SETA program supporting the NRO's Ground Enterprise Directorate (GED), responsible for the acquisition of systems over the complete end-to-end life cycle.
As the DevSecOps Systems Engineer you will help identify and plan new capabilities to support mission operations. The DevSecOps Systems Engineer should have expertise across the digital engineering spectrum including modeling, strategic planning, system integration and "system-of-systems", user-centric design.
Job responsibilities include:
Provide DevSecOps technical guidance on initiatives to strengthen government missions with a focus on automation and compliance.
Analyze requirements to shape system design, advocating for test-driven approaches. Set CI/CD protocols aligned with security standards like NIST, easing app integration.
Oversee CI/CD pipelines, resolve technical challenges, and integrate DevSecOps practices.
Guide automation for better system performance and management. Cultivate security-minded partnerships and embed security into engineering workflows.
Develop maturity models to benchmark and speed up DevSecOps uptake. Identify engineering risks and strategies, offering clarity and solutions.
Provide technical advice to government partners and engage with multi-sector engineers. Craft and deliver succinct system engineering briefings to varied audiences.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree with five (5) or more years of experience; Master's degree with three (3) or more years of experience; or PhD with relevant experience (substituting for degree requirements).
Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Poly.
4+ years of experience with DevSecOps and tools.
Experience with systems development methodologies (e.g., Agile, DevSecOps).
Knowledge of Cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure).
Experience with CONOPS requirements development, interface control documentation, technical specification review, architecture development.
Program lifecycle experience from concept development and design to deployment, operations, and maintenance, decommission.
Ability to provide technical and programmatic direction on the development, integration, and use of digital engineering/model-based engineering and model-based systems engineering concepts and structures.
Self-starter proactively addresses customer requirements with limited supervision; excels at defining solutions for broad, abstract topics.
Polished communicator (written/verbal); impeccable interpersonal skills and personal judgment.
Proficient with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), MS Outlook, MS Project.
