Are you passionate about ensuring the security and integrity of information systems in support of critical intelligence missions? Join The Red Gate Group in Springfield, VA, as an International Information Security Support Specialist. In this role, you will provide vital expertise to the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) throughout the System Development Lifecycle and the Acquisition Lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
Advise the Program Manager on integrating information system security control requirements into project lifecycles.
Review and assess Requests for Change, Engineering Change Proposals, and Assessment and Authorization documents to ensure compliance with security requirements.
Develop and execute accreditation plans to track the IS definition, development, and security testing processes.
Provide technical advisory support to ensure all aspects of Information Systems meet applicable directives and requirements.
Coordinate registration meetings for all International Program related information systems.
Ensure the development, submission, and maintenance of the Body of Evidence for each IT system.
Review proposed system security plans and ensure compliance with NGA security guidelines and agency policies.
Coordinate and negotiate technical meetings for penetration testing and security control assessment.
Maintain routine interface with NGA and relevant DoD and IC A&A teams.
Ensure compliance with Department of Defense mandated Information Operations Conditions requirements.
Required Skills & Experience
Active TS/SCI
Maintain a current professional certification such as a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Security+, or equivalent
Bachelors Degree in IT Management, CIS, or other engineering field
Minimum twelve (12) years of experience and eight (8) years of relevant experience
Desired Skills & Experience
Understanding of Assessment and Authorization processes
Understand the geospatial intelligence mission and its contributions to the IC.
Trained and experienced with using the XACTA Information Assurance web application
Familiarity with NGA Continuity of Operations processes; experience with writing Information Technology Disaster Recovery (ITDR) plans, Business Continuity Plans, and modifying and documenting Essential Functions.
Familiarity with NSG and ASG systems
Familiarity with Services Oriented Architecture (SOA).
