Director of Enterprise Information Protection (EIP) Cybersecurity Engineering focused on building a strong data foundation through data engineering to be used by analysts, and automation engineers to implement process automations, and automated metrics and reports. The role will combine three teams underneath it (EIP Data Engineering, EIP Metrics, and Intelligent Automation (AI, RPA,))
This role aligns to Productivity and focuses on operational efficiencies by automating or improving existing processes and functions and measuring those outcomes and risks through a strong metrics program.
Job Duties:
Create a vision and roadmap for a strong data foundation and approach to collect, integrate, and cleanse data
Enable data to be used by automation engineers and data analysts to enable automated reporting, machine learning processes, and robotics process automation (RPA) within Enterprise Information Protection (EIP)
Optimize multiple EIP delivery teams (data engineering, metrics, and intelligent automation (RPA, AI)) to prioritize capacity towards greatest benefits, and accelerate speed of delivery.
Guide a team to build and maintain data processing architectures and solutions enabling the efficient conversion of structured and unstructured data to insights at enterprise scale.
Architects and builds data lake strategy to house data in consistent framework and data model to be used for all metrics and reporting across EIP
Ingests data from internal and external sources utilizing cloud native platforms and software development best practices and patterns.
Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, business units, and IT teams to ensure data solutions meet organizational needs.
Develops solutions that leverage artificial intelligence, machine learning, and big-data techniques to cleanse, organize, and transform data into insights and actions that enable Humana to better serve our members.
Decisions are typically related to the implementation of new/updated programs or large-scale projects for the function and supporting technical/operational procedures and processes, and implements strategic plans, drives goals and objectives, and improves performance. Provides input into functions strategies.
Make data accessible so that EIP can use it to evaluate and optimize their performance and achieve operational efficiency goals.
Build scalable reusable data model and solutions to enable measuring operational effectiveness and risks.
Guide team on automation of manual processes using AI and RPA (Robotics Process Automation)

Required Skills:
10+ years or more experience in Cyber Security or a related environment
Bachelor's degree in related field (Business, Information Services, IT, Information Security, Computer Science etc.)
Expertise in building and managing data pipelines across decentralized sources, ensuring efficient and secure data flow.
Proficiency in using Azure Data Factory for decentralized ETL/ELT processes, supporting different domains and data owners
Experience in integrating distributed data sources through APIs, ensuring consistency across different domains.
Ability to implement and manage data catalogs and data sharing platforms in decentralized environments.
Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing decentralized data architectures, including data mesh or data fabric principles.
Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, business units, and IT teams to ensure data solutions meet organizational needs.
Knowledge of decentralized data governance, focusing on distributed data ownership and domain-specific data management.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders across Enterprise Information Protection
Have a bias towards action and delivery while balancing risk management.
Ability to implement best practices for decentralized data quality and access control.
Experience in enabling organizations with Information Security or similar large initiatives with high strategy involvement
Ability to credibly contribute to strategic discussions and influence strategic and embrace critical conversations related to operational efficiencies
High-level understanding of machine learning, natural language processing, and generative AI techniques

WAH requirements: Must have the ability to provide a high speed DSL or cable modem for a home office. Associates or contractors who live and work from home in the state of California will be provided payment for their internet expense.

Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.$168,800 - $232,300 per yearThis job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
