Purpose
Lead project management to enhance workflows, focusing on improving speed, efficiency, and quality of customer service. Serve as the main liaison between department user and R&D, addressing software application issues, process improvements, and training requirements.
Responsibilities
Leadership and Direction
Receive general instruction on key objectives for execution. Receive direction as needed, and especially complex assignments, modified techniques, and new approaches on assignments with conflicting criteria. Work is completed using advanced techniques and principles and is reviewed by more senior staff to ensure application of sound professional judgement. Review work produced by junior staff for quality assurance.
At the Operational and Company Level
Develop work instructions for operations, support service requests, collaborate with production staff, test software, and aid in software deployment and training to meet and exceed customer expectations.
Do the Work
Spearhead projects assigned by senior management to enhance operational efficiency.
Work with internal teams and external vendors to ensure project alignment with company goals.
Ensure timely, on-budget delivery of projects with clear scopes and objectives.
Develop and monitor detailed project plans, tracking milestones and performance metrics.
Maintain in-depth project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Assist production staff drafting and refining documentation for new software and process deployments.
Transition work instructions to operations following the assimilation phase.
Pilot test new software applications and lead training sessions for the production team.
Act as the point of contact for technical queries across departments.
Investigate and lead assigned improvement initiatives, keeping up to date with industry trends and advancements.
Investigate issues, draft non-conformance reports, and initiate corrective actions.
Address software application inquiries and issues, providing timely solutions.
Resolve issues related to flight acquisition data and processing.
Engage in production activities to understand job functions and related issues.
Provide support for production challenges encountered during project execution.

Data analysis and interpretation skills.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Geomatics Engineering, Geospatial Engineering, Civil Engineering, or an equivalent combination of college coursework and work experience.
Two or more (2+) years of experience with LIDAR and/or Orthoimagery data production and quality control.
One or more (1+) years of experience working with geospatial (GIS) products.
ASPRS Certification required.
Experience with airborne GPS processing.
Knowledge of software development tools.
Project management experience.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Advanced analytical decision making and problem-solving skills involving basic to moderate troubleshooting abilities.
Physical Demands and Working Environment
Primarily indoor professional office environment which may include bright/dim light, noise, fumes, odors, and traffic.
Mobility around an office environment.
Frequent and prolonged use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Occasional lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds.
Occasional pushing or pulling up to 50 pounds.
Occasional reaching outward or above shoulder.
