Job Description:
GDIT is searching for a Geospatial Analyst/Developer in support of the ITS-EPA IV Managed Application, Infrastructure, Networking, Enterprise, and Security Services (MAINES) Contract in support of the Environmental Protection Agency.
The National Geospatial Support Team (NGST) on the MAINES contract is seeking a Geospatial Analyst. As a member of NGST, they will work with a team of GIS professionals to provide geospatial development and analytical skills in support of EPA's mission to protect human health and the environment.
Support geospatial analytical and mapping projects using ArcGIS Pro or other desktop GIS software.
Develop web mapping applications and geoprocessing tools using the Esri developer's suite (e.g., ArcGIS JavaScript API, Experience Builder, ArcPy).
Maintain, test, and perform bug fixes on existing applications.
Stay current with latest developments in GIS, recommend new technologies and techniques for application development.
Participate in client meetings, trainings, and project demonstrations.
Work effectively as an individual or collaboratively to develop high quality GIS solutions.
Provide Esri technical assistance to EPA's geospatial community
Required Skills/All Required Technologies:
U.S. citizenship.
Ability to undergo and pass a federal background and verification process.
Undergraduate or Graduate degree in GIS, geography, computer science, or related field and two (2) years geospatial experience, OR four (4) years related experience in lieu of a degree.
Extensive knowledge of Esri ArcGIS software and capabilities:
Three (3) years of experience developing Geospatial applications using at least two of the following: Python, JavaScript, C#, or related programming languages.
Three (3) years (minimum) of experience completing GIS analysis and publishing web services using Esri's ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Enterprise environments.
Two (2) years of experience in a role requiring:
Excellent (written and verbal) communication and relational skills with emphasis on client and team member engagement.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team with strong organizational, time management, and analytical skills.
Attention to detail - proven experience meeting data quality assurance and accuracy standards.
Beneficial:
Experience using environmental data and developing applications for analysis and visualization.
Experience with Statistical packages such as R and R-Studio.
Experience with relational database management systems and NoSQL alternatives.
Experience with cloud-based computing environments (AWS, Azure, IBM Cloud, etc.).
Experience developing in Microsoft Power Platform.
Experience with Open-Source geospatial applications such as QGIS, GRASS, etc.
Experience in processing and using geospatial imagery and LiDAR data.
Experience with machine learning/AI or big data tools.
Certified GIS Professional (GISP) or similar certification.
Certification or training in Scrum, Kanban, or other Agile development methodologies.
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a federal Public Trust security clearance (Agency Specific).
U.S. citizenship is required.

The likely salary range for this position is $85,000 - $115,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
