A career in R&D Product Chemistry where none of us stand still.
In the R&D Product Chemistry Group we engage in experiments that allow us to learn more about the link between our product chemistry and product performance. This work invariably brings us into areas where we apply fundamental chemistry knowledge, such as reaction mechanisms and measurement applications, to achieve our goals. Our end goal is to build better product through next generation improvements to new applications.
What will your individual contribution at Haleon be?
Engage with a team of Scientists in developing new characterization methodologies for our raw materials and our products
Performing characterization using FTIR, DSC, TGA, DVS, HPLC, microscopy, Karl Fischer, rheometry, texture analysis, etc...
Preparing samples for analysis, operating measurement equipment, interpreting data
Insights into the meaning of data
Use the scientific method to determine next steps for data collection and analysis

To enable you to perform in this future talent opportunity :
Education required:
Enrolled in an undergraduate degree program in chemistry, physics, or other science related field
Other requirements:
Ability to start in July 2025.
Candidate must be eligible to work on a full-time basis (40 hours a week) during the co-op duration (6 months).
Provide your own funding for relocation and commuting.
This role is onsite at our Richmond, VA location.
Candidate must be eligible to work in the US at the time of, and for the duration of, their employment. Employees will be required to furnish evidence of US work authorization
Expected start date: July 2025
The hourly rate for this role is $24.50/ hour.
