Specifically for this listing, Amentum is seeking an Epidemiological Data Scientist with expertise in data analysis and machine learning and 5+ years of experience. The SME will perform in a hybrid role, working with our client support and business development teams to mature and implement our Health Sciences strategic plan in offices and topics as bulleted below.
This SME will contribute to our Proactive Health Office initiatives, focusing on:
Airborne disease transmission modeling
Population and geographic-based health issues
Predictive analytics for disease surveillance
Responsibilities will include:
Providing expertise and assistance to the Government Program Manager in the execution of multiple advanced technology development programs
Integrating and coordinating program activities with the Program Manager and other government and support team members
Performing detailed task planning and overseeing execution progress
Overseeing scheduling of program activity and milestones, budget execution, and contractor progress
Leading programmatic and technical discussions with Government and industry teams to initiate new program concepts and discuss program planning and execution approaches.
Presenting program briefings to all levels of the Government
Provide subject matter expertise across the health technology portfolio of projects.
Minimum Requirements:
MS in Epidemiology
5+ years of experience in applied epidemiological data analysis and machine learning
Providing expertise and assistance to the Program Manager in the execution of multiple advanced technology development programs
Demonstrated experience in planning, coordinating, and executing technology programs.
Demonstrated experience managing schedule, budget, and program risks for fast-paced advanced technology programs.
Highly Desirable Attributes in one of the following areas:
ARPA H, NIH or other federal grant program experience
Multiple years of healthcare experience working with ARPA is highly desirable.
Experience in doing a research study as Principal investigator.
Expertise in the acquisition of new programs, solicitations, and contracting actions - understanding Government acquisition process
Because the candidate will be expected to develop strong relationships with existing and new customers, location in the Washington DC metropolitan area is highly desirable to ensure responsiveness, although partial telework will be permitted.
