Responsibilities You will serve as an Electronic and Signals Intelligence Technician supporting Surface Electronic Warfare (EW) threat library research, development, and testing. You will perform technical analysis, verification, and validation support activities to ensure correct signal or threat identification and appropriate response. You will coordinate with other agencies to support the development, evaluation, and testing of electronic attack techniques for respective systems. You will participate in test execution, test analysis, and post-event analysis related to threat library data and system performance. You will review and provide electronic and signal analyses for threat library development. You will provide expertise in Electronic and Signal Intelligence troubleshooting, operation, functions, and performance capabilities. You will provide expertise and knowledge of radar systems and apply systems engineering practices. You will proactively work with a team of diverse scientists, engineers, technicians, and support personnel, to include military, civilian, and contractor representatives. You will participate as an active team member in meetings, testing events, and other requirements as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 pay band (GS-11/12 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: conducting electronics technical work in support of the evaluation, testing, or troubleshooting of Electronics and Signals Intelligence system operation, function, and performance capability. Education Additional Information This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-5 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to the GS-13 and GS-14. The salary range shown in the announcement represents all of the positions within the band, including GS-14 equivalent (high grade) positions. This is not a high grade position: therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-13 Step 10 (currently $153,354). This announcement uses the STRL Direct Support direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to certain positions in the competitive service. This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if the selectee fails to meet the pre-employment requirements, including failure to report to any of the scheduled appointments.
