Red Gate Group is seeking a talented Data Scientist to join our team supporting the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) in Reston, VA. As a Data Scientist and researcher on our AI team, you'll learn and apply innovative AI and data science methodologies and deployment techniques to make a real-world impact on the mission of our civilian clients. You'll grow your skills in data science, and machine learning operationalization process, and shape the future of analytics through a variety of means like white papers, client presentations, and client interactions.
2+ years of experience in ML, data science, computer science, or computational engineering
4+ years of experience working in major scripting languages, including Python, Java, R, or C++
2+ years of experience researching and developing operational concepts in artificial intelligence and ML, mathematical or statistical models, and data exploration, analysis, and synthesis
Experience developing advanced methods and techniques to store, manipulate, transform, and present information in support of all-source intelligence analysis and production
Experience working with and presenting to non-technical personnel
Knowledge of research design principles
Knowledge of analytic methods and methodological tools in applied mathematics, computer programming, or data visualization
Ability to apply supervised and unsupervised machine learning algorithms on structured and unstructured datasets
Active TS/SCI clearance
Desired Qualifications:
Experience with the full life cycle of machine learning development and deployment, including gathering requirements, identifying data, preparing data, and building, validating, and using deployable predictive models with the usage having tangible results
Experience with Databricks or cloud AI environments
Knowledge of data strategy and data governance
Ability to execute projects and tasks with minimal guidance and supervision?
Knowledge of Agile and Scrum processes
Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
