Job Summary:
NDi is actively seeking an experienced Cyber Security Engineer to assist with the security requirements of establishing and maintaining a commercial solution for classified (CSfC) systems. The ideal candidate will have from 5 to 7 years of experience in cybersecurity assurance and possess in-depth knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, risk management, and advanced security measures. The role involves working on a classified network used by the U.S. Government, requiring knowledge of applying controls, and maintaining system security and accreditation with knowledge of Zero Trust principles. Requirements
U.S. citizenship is required
Must possess Active Secret security clearance.
The position is hybrid (onsite/remote) and requires presence at designated work locations.
Candidate must be willing to travel up to 50%
Minimum Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or in a relevant field.
Must possess one of the following certifications- CompTIA CySA, CompTIA Security+, CEH Certification. or similar.
Must have 5 to 7 combined years of experience in cyber security/information assurance/ RMF accreditation activities.
Must have over 5 years of hands-on experience implementing STIGs on an enterprise-classified system.
Experience using the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) system for comprehensive fully integrated cybersecurity management and accreditation.
Experience with information assurance (IA) frameworks, including NIST SP 800-37 and NIST SP 800-5.
Familiarity with security authorization processes and RMF package generation.
Demonstrate a strong ability and experience working with technical staff to ensure security measures and controls are applied to an enterprise system.
Excellent communication skills to present technical security guidance to leadership.
Desired Qualifications/Nice to Have:
Previous experience conducting security and accreditation tasks on an enterprise CSfC solution.
At least 3 years of experience having an eMASS account and uploading documents for accreditation of an enterprise System
Poses and RMF implementation certification
Ability to obtain TS/SCI
Additional certifications related to cybersecurity and information assurance.
Responsibilities:
Work with the Security Lead and technical staff on ongoing vulnerability management activities to assess potential threats to infrastructure.
Coordinate and work with technical staff in identifying and remediating system vulnerabilities.
Assist the Security Lead in the development of Plan of Action Milestones (POAandM) to advance accreditation activities and maintain accreditation.
Work with technical writers and the Security team in the creation of applicable RMF and NSA documentation.
Work closely with the government security officials, Security Lead, Information System Security Managers (ISSM), information owner, and system owner to ensure a proper security posture for the service capability provided to customers.
Implement and adhere to information assurance (IA) frameworks and control requirements, including NIST SP 800-37, NIST SP 800-5, and NSA.
Work with Security officials and technical staff to ensure STIGs and controls are applied to an enterprise system.
Demonstrate a principal level of understanding of the Risk Management Framework process.
Provide and present technical security guidance to leadership based on extensive experience and judgment.
