We are looking for an experienced Systems Engineer/Cyber Security Engineer/Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to join our technology-based program supporting a key government customer in a fast paced, challenging, and career rewarding experience.
As a mission-focused Cyber Security Engineer / ISSE that solves problems on the program, you will be expected to:
Provide cyber security technical and policy advice and recommendations in support of the design, development, and support of National Security Systems (for the sponsor);
Assess, analyze, and implement information assurance and security engineering for sponsor information technology (IT) systems;
Define requirements for business continuity, operations security, regulatory compliance, and internal counter-espionage (insider threat detection and mitigation) to best protect company assets;
Assess and mitigate system security threats and risks throughout the program life cycle;
Validate system security requirements definition and analysis;
Implement and validate security designs in hardware, software, data, and procedures;
Demonstrate an ability to work with Systems Architects and Engineers, acquire information for resolving controls and POAMs, and update the customer s A&A system; and
Demonstrate an ability to conduct system security scans.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
We are seeking SME candidates with a minimum of 16 years experience.
A Bachelor's or Master s Degree are preferred in one or more of the disciplines described below where specific skills may include the following:
Conducting scans, assessing the threats, prioritizing, and implement or delegate the mitigation tasks
Reporting and escalation
Ability to expertly communicate with the ISSMs on project A&A activities
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Knowledge of Security Development Operations (SecDevOps) on iterative development projects
Knowledge of Agile development principles
Microsoft Azure and/or Amazon certifications resulting in cloud design ability, implementation, and configuration as it relates to system security
Experience with the Assessment and Authorization (A&A) tool GreenLight
Familiarity with National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Cybersecurity Framework and Risk Management Framework (RMF) Requirements
Knowledge of Federal laws, regulations, policies, and ethics as they relate to cybersecurity
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $140690 - $239140
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
