Description
The Sr. Business Intelligence Analyst will work with Credit Admin / Credit Risk / Model Dev team leaders and specialists to understand business goals and needs and translate these into requirements and solution designs with a focus on driving business value and positive outcomes. This role is responsible for developing consistent and coherent sets of analytical tools - design, development, implementation, and control designs for credit risk (e.g. portfolio stress testing and Current Expected Credit Losses (CECL) accounting used for the Allowance for Credit Loss, and concentration correlation analyses).
In this role, the incumbent will take lead analyst roles in BI projects driving requirements definitions, documentation efforts and as necessary report creation, queries, etc. to support Credit Admin team needs. This role is integral as a liaison among stakeholders and project teams helping to enhance Data team performance.
Essential Functions
Responsible for developing consistent and coherent sets of models and analytical tools for credit risk measurement, management and reporting. Activities range from analytical tool design, development, implementation, and control designs used for understanding credit risk, such as portfolio stress testing and the Current Expected Credit Losses (CECL) accounting used for the Allowance for Credit Loss, and concentration correlation analyses
Interview Credit Admin / Credit Risk team stakeholders to identify business needs and translate these into requirements and solution designs with a focus on driving business value and positive outcomes.
Interview users to understand how they do their jobs and what they need from data systems to improve performance, deliver on functional enhancements, monitor portfolios, etc.
Analyze business processes, recommend changes that improve outcomes, influence stakeholders to build consensus, and implement approved changes
Build and / or maintain Documentation Librar(ies) and Catalog(s) to ensure that such documentation is available upon request by management, regulators, and internal and external auditors
Monitor data environment builds, executions, execution run-times, change developments, change implementations, and workplans.
Develop quantitative modeling other than CECL, such as loss forecasting, predictive risk rating models, stress testing, and profitability analysis.
Take the lead in developing and implementing predictive analytical tools, ad hoc analyses, visual/interactive reporting, segmentation analysis, and process automation. Identify the problem, provide potential solutions, and design the model construct
Translate business goals, user needs and process improvements into data management functions and requirements
Explain the value, capabilities and limitations of data systems to business managers and users as the project is designed and built
Lead individual and group project designs, wireframes, and mockups of analytic dashboards, visualizations, scorecards, stack rankings, and reports, and provide approved technical specifications to developers
Analyze and structure data to implement enterprise data management goals of identifying, storing, processing, provisioning and governing data
Ensure data quality by validating data to assess fitness for use, identifying and directing remediation of issues, and completing quality assurance testing
Follow Data Governance procedures to ensure that data and data based processes are appropriately managed
Work with Enterprise data warehouse, analytical cubes, metadata and master data management to provide business insights for decision making
Analyze and complete project requests
Troubleshoot and resolve data issues
