The Classified Infrastructure Services department provides expertise to programs in Networking, High Performance Computing, and Storage & Data Protection. As a Network Engineer, you will bring advanced knowledge networking technologies to support multiple program Local Area Networks (LANs) and Wide Area Networks (WANs). This is an on-site position in our McKinney, TX office.
What You Will Do:
Lead major network projects
Provide high-level technical support with advanced troubleshooting and triage
Assist with technical designs and reviews
Provide compliance and audit resolution and mitigation
Help train and mentor junior team members
May require occasional domestic travel.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a bachelors degree and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience, an advanced degree with 3 years relevant experience, or in lieu of degree 9 years of relevant experience.
Demonstrated experience as network engineer of Cisco-based Wide Area Networks (WAN) within classified environments
Active and transferable U.S. government issued TOP SECRET security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer:
Effective customer service skills, including oral and written communications.
CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent 8570 IAT Level II or 8140 Intermediate for Network Operations Specialist) and Associate-level Cisco certification (e.g. CCNA) HIGHLY DESIRED
Experience installing and operating RADIUS for 802.1x and AAA using Network Policy Server or Cisco Identity Services Engine HIGHLY DESIRED
Experience installing and operating SNMP-based network management tools (e.g. SolarWinds)
Experience installing and operating Cisco Software Defined Networking platforms such as Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI) or Catalyst SD-WAN
Experience configuring and operating Type-1 encryption devices (e.g. KG-175 series)
Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation such as network diagrams

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
