We are seeking an experienced Principal Cyber Systems Cloud Engineer or Senior Principal Cyber Systems Cloud Engineer to join our dynamic team of technical professionals. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Mission Systems support team in San Antonio, TX .
Please be aware that this position will be contingent upon capturing program award, obtaining customer funding, and holding final clearances prior to start date. *
This requisition may be filled as a Principal Cyber Systems Cloud Engineer or Senior Principal Cyber Systems Cloud Engineer
What you'll get to do:
Working as part of a team to design, build and maintain AWS and hybrid-cloud systems
Administering systems based on Linux and Windows operating systems
Maintaining and troubleshooting IP networking systems for AWS and hybrid-cloud systems
Automating system deployment, operation and maintenance using Infrastructure as Code and Configuration Management tooling
Basic Qualifications for Principal Cyber Systems Cloud Engineer:
Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience, Master's degree with 3 years of experience or a PhD with 0 years of experience in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or related technical fields; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
A current/active DoD Top Secret clearance.
The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret / SCI clearance is required.
Experience with designing, deploying and administering cloud-based solutions.
Understanding of the architecture, maintenance, and administration of Linux servers.
Experience with automating tasks using Ansible, Bash, PowerShell, Puppet or Python.
Proven experience working within IT Systems Design, Deployment and Administration.
Knowledge of cloud database management tools such as MySQL and Hadoop.
Knowledge of cybersecurity in the context of the cloud.
Basic Qualifications for Senior Principal Cyber Systems Cloud Engineer:
Bachelor's degree with 8 years of experience, Master's degree with 6 years of experience or a PhD with 3 years of experience in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or related technical fields; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
A current/active DoD Top Secret clearance.
The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret / SCI clearance is required.
Experience with designing, deploying and administering cloud-based solutions.
Understanding of the architecture, maintenance, and administration of Linux servers.

Preferred Qualifications:
Cloud service certification (AWS, Azure, Google, or similar).
Experience with one or more programming languages.
Extensive experience of designing, deploying and troubleshooting IPv4 Networking, including Subnetting, OSPF Routing, VLANs and VPNs.
Recent roles in Technical or Team Leadership positions.
Salary Range: $107,300 - $160,900
Salary Range 2: $133,000 - $199,600
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
