Job Summary
The successful senior level candidate will be part of the KBR team supporting the Test Resource Management Center's (TRMC) Test and Training Enabling Architecture (TENA) and Joint Mission Environment Testing Capability JMETC User Support Team. The successful candidate will be required to accomplish a few weeks of training on the use of TENA Software along with assigned software development tasks in support of the development and maintenance of JMETC and other TENA-based tools and adaptors. Other duties include: documenting, managing configuration, testing, analysis and bug fixing involved in creating and maintaining applications and frameworks involved within an agile software release life cycle and resulting in a software product. The successful candidate will be expected to utilize the TENA Framework and Build System and follow processes that ensure high quality software.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Work in Agile Software development environment with other team members and attend weekly meetings to provide status of work efforts and provide feedback to other team members.
In addition to development efforts, assist in testing, doing analysis and bug fixing of developed applications as part of the Agile Process.
Develop and Support TRMC TENA applications and adapters as well as other JMETC tools
Develop and Support Cloud Hybrid Edge to Enterprise Test and Analysis Suite (CHEETAS) developed applications whether rest API applications, front end or back-end modules.
Documentation of work performed using JIRA/Confluence and word
After some training, it is expected the candidate will be the lead developer on work efforts.
Mentor less knowledgeable employees.
Basic Qualifications:
15 to 20 Years of Experience
U.S. Citizen
Ability to Obtain Secret clearance
Potential Travel of up to 25% of the time.
Ability to work remotely
Proficiency using C++, C#, and/or Java languages or similar languages
Experience with Linux/Unix and Windows environments
Proficiency with web application technologies, such as JBoss,Apache Tomcat, etc.
Experience with Agile Development methodologies including use of version control systems (e.g., Git), issue/problem tracking systems (e.g., Jira), team collaboration software (e.g., Confluence), and continuous integration environments (e.g., Jenkins).
The Software Engineer must have the ability to work closely with other engineers to develop the best technical design and approach for new product development.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills are desired, as the Software Developer will be in frequent contact with both a project technical lead, and be taking direction from various government leads.

Preferred Qualifications:
The preferred candidate will have experience working in government/defense labs and their computing restrictions.
The preferred candidate will have experience with containers, Kubernetes, cloud technologies such as rest API, and backend modules to support other JMETC tool suite support, testing and integration.
Knowledge of Distributed Testing and Training
Knowledge of the Test and Training Enabling Architecture (TENA) and the Joint Mission Environment Testing Capability (JMETC).
Experience working with Test and Training Range instrumentation and environment.
Experience working with major DoD Acquisition programs such as Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) or Missile Defense Agency (MDA)
Basic Compensation:
$138,000-173,000
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
