Description: Lockheed Martin is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a position in Grand Prairie, TX to join the Precision Fires Manufacturing Engineering team. This position supports both development and production activities for the Precision Strike Missile (PrSM) system, which could include leading Production Line Validations, supplier visits, internal manufacturing shop support, Earned Value Management, proposal support, tooling, design reviews for producibility and any other program related production activity. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the support of hardware and tooling for MFC Mechanical/Electrical hardware and Supply Chain, Production Line Validations, Engineering Release reviews for new and revised design requirements, and Make or Buy coordination / management. The program is nearing final stages in the development phase where concepts are created/tested, designs are evolving/being qualified, trade studies are performed, advanced technologies are tested, and preparations are made ahead as it enters production. The primary mission of this team is to ensure new designs are producible (Design for Manufacturing / Assembly) in a full rate manufacturing environment at a competitive cost (Design to Cost), while also meeting current scoped requirements.
This role will collaborate with Program Leadership (Program Managers, IPT Leads, Chief Engineers), cross-functional support (Design Engineering, Quality Engineering, Global Supply Chain, Finance, Production Planning and Control, and Master Planning), as well as various levels of functional team members and leaders to ensure program objectives are being met and brief them on risks to those objectives. Experience building positive relationships, communicating across functional and physical boundaries, managing cost, schedule, quality and safety is critical for the role.
Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or higher in an engineering discipline or related technical field

Current Active Secret Clearance

Proficient in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)

Ability to travel domestic and/or internationally

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
